Optia: Free SEO Analysis in Chrome

Optia is a Chrome extension I built and sell. It checks any web page for on-page SEO problems and gives you a score from 0 to 100. Every issue carries a priority label so you know what to fix first.

The analyzer is completely free. No account, no trial clock, no feature wall on the checks themselves.

What it checks

Enter your target keyword, click once, and Optia analyzes the page you are on:

  • Where your keyword appears across the title, meta description, headings, URL, image alt text, and body content
  • Meta tags, heading structure, images, links, and content quality
  • Structured data (JSON-LD), Open Graph, and Twitter Card tags

You get a breakdown of passed checks against items to improve. Optia marks each issue High Priority or Medium. It runs in Chrome's side panel, so the report sits next to the page it describes.

The AI part

Optia can write suggested titles, meta descriptions, H2s, and image alt text for the page you are analyzing. Claude powers the suggestions. One click, then copy the one you like.

The free tier includes 25 AI suggestions a month. No account and no API key needed.

Privacy

The SEO analysis itself runs locally in your browser. Optia collects nothing about your browsing, and the extension has no tracking and no analytics.

When you ask for an AI suggestion, Optia sends only the relevant page snippets: your keyword and the element you are improving. If you are a Pro user using your own Anthropic API key, that key never touches my servers.

Pricing

The analyzer is free forever. Pro exists for people who want more AI:

  • Free: full analyzer, 25 AI suggestions a month
  • Pro, $5 a month or $50 a year: 1,000 AI suggestions a month, page-type-aware analysis, and multi-language output
  • Bring your own Anthropic key: unlimited suggestions at your own API cost

That is the whole model. The free tier is not a demo, and I do not upsell inside the report.

Why I built it

I run SEO for small businesses in Baltimore, and I kept doing the same on-page checks by hand for every client page. Optia is that checklist as software. If you want to see the manual version first, I published it as a do-it-yourself SEO audit walkthrough.
